AFFOA RACER INDUSTRIAL VIDEO PRODUCTION EL PASO

Advanced manufacturing is difficult to explain with generic footage. The audience needs to understand the equipment, the people operating it, the purpose behind the technology, and the scale of the work without slowing down the operation itself.

Royal Elect Studios produced the AFFOA RACER project in El Paso, Texas, including filming at ReadyOne Industries. Every stage, from filming through final post production, was completed by Royal Elect Studios under the direction of Frank Lata, owner and director.

A COLLABORATIVE PROCESS

The project was built through close collaboration between Royal Elect Studios and AFFOA. Josh from AFFOA worked side by side with Frank and the production team. Zoom meetings, strategic planning sessions, and detailed discussions helped define the story, identify the most important technical material, and coordinate the people, equipment, and locations that needed to be captured.

Josh contributed essential project knowledge and kept the AFFOA team aligned. Frank led the video production process and most of the creative direction in post production, including the editorial approach, pacing, visual storytelling, and final finish. The result combined AFFOA’s technical expertise with Royal Elect Studios’ complete production and post production execution.

BEHIND THE SCENES

THE PRODUCTION CHALLENGE

AFFOA needed a clear and credible film that could introduce a mobile advanced manufacturing system while preserving the human side of the story. The finished piece had to show more than machinery. It needed to communicate how the system works, why the work matters, and how people and technology come together in a real operational environment.

Industrial productions require a different approach from ordinary commercial shoots. Camera placement, interview timing, lighting, sound, site access, equipment movement, and crew safety all have to be planned around a facility that continues to function.

FILMING IN EL PASO AND AT READYONE INDUSTRIES

Principal photography took place in El Paso, with key production activity filmed at ReadyOne Industries. Working inside a functioning manufacturing environment gave the project the scale, movement, and technical detail needed to tell the AFFOA RACER story with authenticity.

The Royal Elect Studios team completed principal filming in four focused days. Coverage included interviews, manufacturing processes, machinery details, team activity, professional location sound, aerial views, and the visual material needed to connect each part of the story.

SAFETY AND OPERATIONAL AWARENESS

For manufacturing and construction clients, the site comes first. We planned access, identified operational limitations, discussed personal protective equipment, and coordinated with the people responsible for the location.

Our crew worked around active technical equipment and real workflows. We kept pathways clear, used compact setups when possible, and adjusted our coverage to the work already in motion. This approach protected the client’s team, our crew, and the production schedule.

FOUR TO FIVE DAYS OF IN HOUSE POST PRODUCTION

Once filming was complete, the project moved directly into post production at Royal Elect Studios. The first complete production finish was prepared within four to five days, before the normal client review and approval process.

Frank shaped how the technical story would unfold for the viewer. The process included footage review, interview selection, story construction, visual editing, audio cleanup and mixing, color grading, motion graphics, and final delivery preparation. Keeping the complete process in house created continuity from the original production plan through the finished film.

The goal was not simply to assemble attractive shots. Every edit needed to help the viewer understand the operation. Technical imagery was balanced with human moments, wide views were paired with precise details, and the pacing kept a specialized subject clear and engaging.
